The Role

The Social Designer is a hybrid who is equally at home creating eye catching statics as motion graphics and fun visual designs and posts for use across social channels.

You’ll be full of inventive ideas for making a range of contemporary, fresh looking social posts, image treatments, cinemagraphs, brought to life through simple motion graphics & video.

You’ll be a digital native with a solid understanding of all the social platforms and know how to make great eye catching content for mobile & tablet outputs.

This will be backed up by good experience in core visual design, ready to help out on creative presentations, pitch decks, and key visuals or storyboards.

You’ll have great knowledge of the Adobe suite and other key creative tools, techniques and approaches, and feel comfortable talking through new ideas and options with other teams.

Working into the Senior Creative Team and Executive Producer, and alongside our social and community teams, the Social Designer is the go to person for making our work pop out of the screen and grab attention.


Key Responsibilities include:

  • Imagining, designing and creating a range of social posts for a variety of clients and projects
  • Working alongside the social team to stay on top of social design, visual & cultural trends
  • Bringing fresh ideas & social design appreciation to all our client work and output
  • Liaising with teams on in-house projects such as showreels and agency graphics etc.
  • Contribute to relevant production planning to ensure creation of social assets on shoots
  • Deliver timely, inspiring and high quality work within available time and budgets
  • Maintaining strong team & agency relationships, earning trust through creativity & delivery


Skills Required:

  • Great design skills & fluency: An ability to understand a brief and deliver an imaginative, attractive, crafted response and execution.
  • Agency Experience: Must have at least 2 years design experience in another creative environment or agency and understand the social/ creative / production process.
  • Good all round communication: This is a key role and the Social Designer must feel confident contributing to the creative & social process
  • A determination to create great looking work that works
  • Good organisational skills and eye for detail
  • The motivation to maintain & improve design standards within the agency
  • Ability to listen to feedback and use it to improve

A good knowledge of the following software & tools is required:

  • Photoshop
  • After Effects
  • Premier

Plus, knowledge of InDesign & Illustrator would be a bonus, as would any extra creative pursuits or interests such as drawing, photography/ video making etc.
