Who We Are Looking For

We’re looking for a career driven, creative & curious Community Manager to help us make, distribute & manage more ground & social-breaking ideas in our social team. Overseen by the Senior Social Planner, this is a great opportunity for anyone looking to really develop their career in social.

The core of this role is everyday community management, moderation and development of reactive content but you’ll working closely with the Senior Social Planner & Paid Media Manager to help develop and make bigger campaigns live & sing in social.

You will be expected to be the voice of expertise when it comes to social and how consumers use it, have a keen eye for content that is engaging and shareable, be part-writer (and support the creative teams in developing content that really works in social), part-client sounding board and results-focused.

You will need to immerse yourself in the HYUNDAI brand – so a love of cars is a must. Be prepared to spend time with clients in their offices (High Wycombe) really getting under the skin of the brand on a regular basis and be prepared for some evening/ weekend work on occasion. Whilst our office hours are 09.00 – 5.30, like most social teams, we’re willing to be on-line outside those hours.

Alongside the rest of the Social Team you will be involved in reporting on the performance of the social channels and content as well as feel confident to make recommendations for optimization of strategy and content plans in line with KPIs and business objectives.

There will be a lot of learning on the job and you’ll need to be a proactive multi-tasker with a ‘can do’ attitude. We’re looking for someone who is great with clients and can seamlessly be “the lynch pin” between the agency, brand and community.

 

The Role – Specifics

You will be expected to be adept and confident in executing the following tasks:

  • Content planning – supporting the Senior Social Planner to run the quarterly content editorial planning meetings, the development all quarterly content plans and solely responsible for the development & management of monthly always-on content plans for Hyundai. You will support the Senior Social Planner in development of campaign content plans;
  • Content creation – solely responsible for developing all briefs for all approved social content, with oversight from the Senior Social Planner where relevant. Working with the Copywriter to guide the development of copy for all content. Overseeing, but directly responsible for the Q&A process of checking all posts throughout development and before they go live;
  • Content distribution – taking approved posts & content and pushing them live to the relevant channels organically & briefing the Paid Media Manager to ensure promoted posts are set-up and optimized in a timely manner;
  • Community management – nurturing and growing social communities and leading consumer engagement with the brands you manage in all social channels and on all posts – both paid and organic. You’ll be confident to implement crisis management processes and treat escalations with due diligence and a calm head;
  • Reactive & proactive social – responsible for identifying key trends & opportunities for your brands to engage with and being a key member of the team brainstorming what content we can create that will be appropriate;
  • Analytics & reporting – support the Senior Social Planner & Paid Media Manager to produce monthly, quarterly & annual reports on the performance of the social channels you are managing and feed into the insights & recommendations. Adept at providing top-line results to clients for various content & activity ongoing & ad-hoc;
  • Paid media – a good understanding of how paid media works across social and able to work alongside media agencies and our internal paid media team learning & delivering ‘paid for’ media activity;
  • Events – attending & managing social presences from both client events and social media industry events (often outside of 9-5.30 hours);
  • Social knowledge & trends – you’ll be an expert on all things social and expected to stay on top of & educate clients, others in your team and the agency on platform updates & innovations, competitor activity in social and more.
  • Ability to travel to High Wycombe every Wednesday and work within the client team, be an ambassador for the agency and appropriately report back to the agency team.

 

Social Software/ Tools
You must be able to schedule, post, moderate & pull analytics across Facebook (Business Manager), Instagram (Business Manager), Google, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest.

In an ideal world, you would have direct experience using some/all of the following social management and analytics tools but if you don’t have direct experience, you will need to demonstrate and tell us how you plan to master them quickly or show experience of similar tools.

  • Social listening tools such as Crimson Hexagon, Radian6, Sysmos etc
  • Social management tools like Falcon, Adobe Social, Hootsuite etc
  • Analytics tools such as Social Baker, Iconosquare etc;

The Role

The Social Designer is a hybrid designer who is equally at home creating eye catching statics as motion graphics and fun visual designs and posts for use across social channels.

You’ll be full of inventive ideas for making a range of contemporary, fresh looking social posts, image treatments, cinemagraphs, brought to life through simple motion graphics & video.

You’ll be a digital native with a solid understanding of all the social platforms and know how to make great eye catching content for mobile & tablet outputs.

This will be backed up by good experience in core visual design, ready to help out on creative presentations, pitch decks, and key visuals or storyboards.

You’ll have great knowledge of the Adobe suite and other key creative tools, techniques and approaches, and feel comfortable talking through new ideas and options with other teams.

Working into the Senior Creative Team and Executive Producer, and alongside our social and community teams, the Social Designer is the go to person for making our work pop out of the screen and grab attention.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Imagining, designing and creating a range of social posts for a variety of clients and projects
  • Working alongside the social team to stay on top of social design, visual & cultural trends
  • Bringing fresh ideas & social design appreciation to all our client work and output
  • Liaising with teams on in-house projects such as showreels and agency graphics etc.
  • Contribute to relevant production planning to ensure creation of social assets on shoots
  • Deliver timely, inspiring and high quality work within available time and budgets
  • Maintaining strong team & agency relationships, earning trust through creativity & delivery

 

Skills Required:

  • Great design skills & fluency: An ability to understand a brief and deliver an imaginative, attractive, crafted response and execution.
  • Agency Experience: Must have at least 2 years design experience in another creative environment or agency and understand the social/ creative / production process.
  • Good all round communication: This is a key role and the Social Designer must feel confident contributing to the creative & social process
  • A determination to create great looking work that works
  • Good organisational skills and eye for detail
  • The motivation to maintain & improve design standards within the agency
  • Ability to listen to feedback and use it to improve

A good knowledge of the following software & tools is required:

  • Photoshop
  • After Effects
  • Premier

Plus, knowledge of InDesign & Illustrator would be a bonus, as would any extra creative pursuits or interests such as drawing, photography/ video making etc.
